There are three variants of the Lithuanian Deluge myth, all connected with
Pramzimas, the pre-diluvial culture hero. The first is that he dropped a nutshell from the sky which turned into a ship, in which a man and woman survived the Flood. The second version is that many animals and some humans sought refuge on a mountain to which Pramzimas sent a magic vessel in which all sailed away except an old man and a woman. Those who went away never returned, whilst the couple who remained were the ancestors of the Lithuanians. The third version says that after being saved the old couple were past the age of child-bearing. Pramzimas advised them to jump nine times over the bones of the earth. Each time they did so a couple appeared who became the ancestors of the present Lithuanians. For further details
